New Year's Eve fashions, the very last of 2010

These are three latest creations. Just recently I became oppsesed with kimono style sleeves and slitghtly off shoulder dresses. They are so easy to wear, especially when worn with simple pair of thights, if the patern of the dress is complex, and knock out pair of boots.

The tent style mini-dresses, were quite popular in the beginning of the 90's. My friends and I wore them with valour tights. I took the inspiration to Japan, and created these.

This was also a kimono sleeve dress, but I cuffed it, just to avoid being a one trick pony. I hope it worked.

I already made a dress just like this one, as you can see below, and it was such a smashing hit on eBay that I created another one, with a slightly different belt, which luckly for me was a hit as well.

December Fashion

Oh, I've been inspired by the beauty of Japan. All of the dresses I made recently have the long, square, kimono sleves. They are quite simple dresses, with the drama in the sleeves. I also included obi belts; every woman's waist should be accentuated.

New things I'm making: over-knees leopard boots, and painted Dansko!

These boots are as comfortable as moccassins, and as sexy as Pam! They are made with faux leopard fur, that was created from velvet.

I started painting Ugg boots first, and that was quite successfull. I had this pair of Danskos and they were just too sterile. I wanted to give them some pop, and painted them with leather and fabric permanent paint. They were a huge hit in my ebay store, so I am getting ready to paint more.

what I made, so called designed, this summer of 2010

This is the only piece, that I worked really hard designing, and even harder making. I used old jeans, cut them into diamond shapes, and voila!

The rest of the designs, I really didn't have to design at all. The fabrics were so rich in print; they took me all the way to India. When fabric is so colorful there is no need for a complicated design, less is more. I made a few caftans, and they were all sold out!

I picked this fabric while my sister was shopping for baby stuff. She looked at me, and I could read on her face that she wanted to send me to the looney bin, especially when I picked the yellow trim as an accent color. I hope I changed her mind.

This dress doesn't look nearly as pretty as it really is. The white embroidered lace is raw silk, and the fucshia slip is very soft flowy silk.

fashionable baby names, unique, uncommon, from countries such as: Croatia, Bosnia and Serbia

My little baby sister had a baby this summer. While she was pregnant the rest of the family fought over baby's name. Her only words were "it has to be ours", meaning from our home country of former Yugoslavia. I thought that we have a few cool names which may be fashionable as well.

If you are looking for a cool, unique baby name here are some:

UNA, after our beautiful river,

BOYANA, also a river (our way of spelling Bojana)

MILA, dear, sweet

MAYA, related to the month of May, (our way of spelling Maja)

AZRA, we use it as a girl's name, Biblically it would be related to Ezra

ENA, the name of the most beautiful, famous, and talented Croatian acctress.
Yellena (we spell it Jelena, Serbo-Cro, version of Helen, also the first queen of Croatia, the kindest, most loved).

BORNA (king of Croatia, 11th centuary)
BOYAN (we spell it Bojan)

I'm back, and so is my fashion!

Hopefully you will see it as fashion.
I've been working on a few things this summer that I would like to share with the world.

Fish-tale, yellow fitted, pleated, dress.

I did a few swimming suits and here are two: the first one is a little wa wa wa woom, with all the gold and glitter and that tiger, not leopard print. It's really easy to wear: hang it around your neck, pull it between your legs and tied it from the back to the front.

This swimming suit, completely opposite from the last one. The inspiration was a 40's apron girls, with some ruffles from the 'Little house on the Prairies'.

Tent dress, made from original vintage psychedelic paisley print!
